I recently started with a new PCP 2 weeks ago. I got a bunch of blood work done and everything came back fine. However, my blood pressure was elevated at the beginning of the visit, so he took it again toward the end of the visit. It was still elevated.
He told me to monitor it, and I have been for the past week and a half or so. It’s continued to be elevated and so I sent the doctor a message about it.
He referred me to see a dietitian in regards to my blood pressure. I don’t understand why he’s just sending me to a different doctor. Why can’t he just prescribe me some medicine?
It’s expensive AF to see a doctor, even with insurance. I can not stand the healthcare industry in America. Everyone’s so quick to write someone off to someone else. Pathetic. Has anyone else dealt with this before?
