In a worldwide study on sleep, nearly a quarter of a million nights of sleep were measured among sleepers (n=17,355, age 16-30), showing differences by age, geographical region and gender. There is a steady decrease in sleep duration from age 16 to 30. Sleep timing shifts later from 16 to 24.
